Test with Sandra (MRA)
by admin on Feb.15, 2012, under Photo
A few days ago I had a shoot with Sandra C from MRA. We’ve known eachother for a while, since she competed on Next Top Model by Catalin Botezatu (season 2). I took photos of all the models, including her, on various occasions (you can see them here: the Delta, Pamukkale, Efes, Kusadasi). Since we knew eachother, everything went very smoothly.
Hhere are a few photos from the shoot.

Next Top Model - Kusadasi
by admin on Feb.09, 2012, under Photo
Kusadasi was our final destination in Turkey. Here I shot a Sushma Patel fashion show (she had joined us in Turkey to teach the girls stuff). Each of the contestants wore an exquisite Sushma Patel outfit.

Sushma lives in Atlanta and is famous for being the one who successfully bridged the gap between Indian traditional clothing and Western cuts. She does costumes for Bollywood movies and her creations are often featured on international runways.

The scenery was far less menacing than other places we’d traveled to recently, so the whole mood was slightly more relaxed.

Camelia Sucu for Luxury Magazine
by admin on Feb.06, 2012, under Photo
Below is the cover story of Luxury Magazine’s December-January issue.
Camelia Sucu proved exactly what a carefully tailored public image means. All the outfits you can see are from her own wardrobe (which, by the way, is absolutely amazing); she brought her own make-up artist and hairstylist. Her contribution to the whole styling process was definitely significant and strongly influenced the whole feel of the end result.
The location, Ghika Palace, offered a lot of good visual opportunities as well, so all in all it was a productive shoot.

Here’s the editorial for the January-February issue of Luxury Magazine featuring Iulia M. from MRA and Luna Veneziana masks. Everything went smoothly, I worked well with the model (we knew eachother since she was a contestant on Next Top Model by Catalin Botezatu) and the location was awesome.

A short while ago I took the photos for Cristina Matei’s Crochet Deluxe collection, her latest work. All the clothes are done manually, and most of them include crochet. You can find more information about the collection and the designer on the official site, here.

Mitza (Agresiv)

Here are the first results of a more complex shooting with Mitza (Agresiv). The stuff we made (including videos) at the shoot will be used to promote his debut mixtape, there’s quite a lot of it and it’s pretty interesting - I hope I’ll get the chance to show you soon what I’m talking about.

Next Top Model - Efes
by admin on Jan.30, 2012, under Photo
Efes was our second location from Turkey.

From all the shootings I did for Next Top Model, it was the only one with a rather normal surface to walk on. We shot around Hadrian’s Gate and the Library in Efes.

It was somewhat amazing that we were able to have the shooting there. The place was swarming with tourists. To make matters even more difficult, it appears that the locals are not very keen on having models running around on sacred ground. The producers made sure we had a green light, but I’ve been told it wasn’t exactly easy to do so.

Although it didn’t involve water, mud or dubious creatures like the following shootings, it was still difficult to a certain extent. There was a lot of walking around involved; however, the girls behaved in a very professional manner and that definitely made everything more efficient.
