Giulia for Viva
by admin on Feb.29, 2012, under Photo
Here are part of the photos I took of Giulia on a very, very busy day. Because of the hectic schedule she’s had recently, we basically had to merge two different shootings into one. The first was for her interview in Viva! Magazine (you can read it over here) and took place in Silver Church. It lasted for quite some time, and it was pretty cold. The second was personal, and we did it over at my studio. It was all fairly challenging but I’m pretty happy with the end result. I’m gonna post the personal pictures soon as well.

Asmara - Making Of
by admin on Feb.24, 2012, under Making of
I’m ending the Asmara post series with a little making of video featuring the shooting of Mirela Stelea’s collection. It took place at the Cesianu-Racovita palace (Artmark headquarters). You can see the preparation process as well as the actual shooting.
If you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out the photos, here, and the final video, here.

Asmara - The Video
by admin on Feb.21, 2012, under Video
As the previous posts have been hinting, I recently shot Mirela Stelea’s new collection. It’s called Asmara and it includes elegant evening dresses mainly made of silk. The photo shoot took place at the wonderful Cesianu-Racovita palace (headquarters of Artmark).
The video below illustrates a slightly different perspective on the collection. I tried to make the most of the great location, the natural light and Nicoleta Vaculov’s natural charisma. Also, during the editing process I aimed to capture as much as possible of the sensuality implied by the dresses.
The photos and a making-of video are coming soon.
Test with Sandra (MRA)
by admin on Feb.15, 2012, under Photo
A few days ago I had a shoot with Sandra C from MRA. We’ve known eachother for a while, since she competed on Next Top Model by Catalin Botezatu (season 2). I took photos of all the models, including her, on various occasions (you can see them here: the Delta, Pamukkale, Efes, Kusadasi). Since we knew eachother, everything went very smoothly.
Hhere are a few photos from the shoot.

Next Top Model - Kusadasi
by admin on Feb.09, 2012, under Photo
Kusadasi was our final destination in Turkey. Here I shot a Sushma Patel fashion show (she had joined us in Turkey to teach the girls stuff). Each of the contestants wore an exquisite Sushma Patel outfit.

Sushma lives in Atlanta and is famous for being the one who successfully bridged the gap between Indian traditional clothing and Western cuts. She does costumes for Bollywood movies and her creations are often featured on international runways.

The scenery was far less menacing than other places we’d traveled to recently, so the whole mood was slightly more relaxed.

Camelia Sucu for Luxury Magazine
by admin on Feb.06, 2012, under Photo
Below is the cover story of Luxury Magazine’s December-January issue.
Camelia Sucu proved exactly what a carefully tailored public image means. All the outfits you can see are from her own wardrobe (which, by the way, is absolutely amazing); she brought her own make-up artist and hairstylist. Her contribution to the whole styling process was definitely significant and strongly influenced the whole feel of the end result.
The location, Ghika Palace, offered a lot of good visual opportunities as well, so all in all it was a productive shoot.
